About Jenna

Former Teacher, Turned Education Advocate

Welcome new friends! I'm Jenna and I am so glad you are here! I have a longstanding passion for all things education. Teaching and raising children is a dream come true for me.

I taught public school at the elementary level in both Fairfax and Loudoun County Public Schools. I have an active teaching license in Virginia and West Virginia with four endorsements: pre-kindergarten through sixth grade general education, instructional technology, social science for grades sixth through eighth, and English language learner’s kindergarten through twelfth grade. I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. I am currently enrolled in a Doctorate of Education program, as learning is a passion of mine!

When I decided to stay home with my first child (I now have three boys) I lead and taught a preschool co-op and later taught for another well-established homeschool co-op. During this time, I earned a deeper and well-rounded understanding of homeschooling and realized there was so much more to homeschool than what you see on reality television. My husband and I decided to try out homeschooling for our own family and it has been a wonderful fit. We are so thankful for this journey!

In addition to homeschooling my three energetic boys, I tutor students in grades kindergarten through eighth, teach classes virtually and at local co-ops, offer consulting services for parents of elementary and middle school children, and conduct end of year proof of progress evaluations for those living in the state of Virginia. Want to find out more about my services? Click here or use the navigation bar at the top of the page.

In my free time, I love to craft, bake, cook, and spend time outdoors! Check out my blog for recipes, craft ideas, and what we are up to in our homeschool journey.
