As an educator and mom, Jenna understands how important it is to give back to the community. The Sophisticated Teacher supports the local community by donating meals and resources to Loudoun Transitional Housing throughout the calendar year.  Jenna has assisted in coordinating and providing meals, along with supplies and activities to support Loudoun Transitional Housing for eight years. It is important for Jenna to serve the community for which she and her family have called home for over a decade.

 

Jenna also fosters for two local animal shelters (LCAS and GRREAT) and volunteers at Loudoun County Animal Services throughout the year with her children.

She is a year-round volunteer with Home Educators Association of Virginia going on five years! She also served on Loudoun Christian Home Educators leaderships team for several years, and recently founded a homeschool encouragement ministry at her church.

Jenna also consults with families facing financial hardship at no cost as she has a passion for helping each family succeed. 

​

Jenna was recognized for her service in 2023, receiving the honor being named one of Loudoun's 40 Under 40 in 2023.
