About Jenna

Former teacher, turned education advocate.

I am so glad you stopped by to get to know me. You will quickly see I am passionate about education and ensuring each child is given the opportunity to succeed to the best of their ability.

I taught public school at the elementary level in both Fairfax and Loudoun County Public Schools as a classroom teacher and later joining the administrative team as a School Based Technology Specialist. I have an active teaching license with four endorsements: pre-kindergarten through sixth grade general education, instructional technology, social science for grades sixth through eighth, and English language learner’s kindergarten through twelfth grade. I have additional certifications as an IEW instructor, Responsive Classroom instructor, and more!

When I decided to stay home with my first child (I now have three boys) I lead and taught a preschool co-op and later taught for another well-established homeschool co-op. During this time, I earned a deeper and well-rounded understanding of homeschooling and realized there was so much more to homeschool than what you see on reality television. My husband and I decided to try out homeschooling for our own family and it has been a wonderful fit. We are so thankful for this journey!

In addition to homeschooling my three energetic boys, I teach at local co-ops and virtually around the country, along with offering tutoring and small group classes online and in person. I currently offer educational consulting services for students elementary through high school and offer assessments, including, WRAT, Woodcock Johnson IV, and WIAT 4. I conduct end of year proof of progress evaluations for those living and homeschooling in the state of Virginia. Need a Student Education Plan? I can assist you in tailoring one to the unique needs of your child.

In my free time, I love to craft, bake, cook, and spend time outdoors! I also love to support our local community, by donating meals and resources to Loudoun Transitional Housing. Check out my blog for recipes, craft ideas, and what we are up to in our homeschool journey.

Warm wishes,

Jenna
