Conference Sign Ups

Can you believe it is already time to start thinking about conference sign ups? They way I see it you can handle this two ways:

1. The old school way: paper/pencil sign up. Try to decipher handwriting and remind parents of when their conference is.

2. The new way: Online sign up slots with automatic email reminders.

I don’t know about you, but I definitely choose number 2! 🙂

Here is my breakdown of a few favorite sites to use for conference sign up, volunteer sign up, and so much more. It really does simplify your life. Once you try one, you’ll be hooked!

Calendar view helps with finding a date that works for you (visually appealing). Automatic email reminders. You can collect funds if needed (maybe for a field trip or classroom event?). It is free! You can copy events from one day to several others (this is great because you aren’t retyping everything). You can hide who has signed up from other viewers, but you can still print a list of signups. You can send a personalized message with the link or put the link on your website.

It took me about 10 minutes to figure out the copying and editing after copying. Once I got the hang of it, I was sold. It is now my number 1 go to site for online sign ups.

You can hide who has signed up from other viewers, but you can still print a list of signups. It is easy to schedule multiple people to sign up for one day. You can customize the information you want the person to leave (for the most part, there are mandatory parts). It sends out automatic email reminders. You can email the link out or put it on your website.

It is a little clunky. You can copy days and times, but it just isn’t the smartest website out there. It is basic. It also does not show a calendar view, only list view. Other than that, I have used it and liked it.

You can customize the fields and titles of the sign ups. It sends automatic email reminders. It allows you to choose themes (just a fun thing to add) and message on the sign up page. You can put the link up on your page or email it. You can customize it so the sign up is made for reoccurring events, time slots, etc. It is easy to use and visually appealing. It is free!

You have a list view, but not a calendar view. Other than that it is great!
