Want a truly magical experiment? Glitter Melting Christmas Trees is a perfect fit! We’ve been exploring trees a lot this month through our Ice Castle unit and this seemed like a fun fit!

Glitter Christmas Tree Experiment for Kids - Ingredients

You will need:

🎄Cone shaped paper cups

🎄Baking soda

🎄 A little bit of water (to make the baking soda into a crumbly paste)

🎄 Gold glitter

🎄 White vinegar

🎄Eye droppers




Mix all ingredients except the vinegar and place in cone cups. Freeze for 30 minutes or longer.



Place Christmas trees on a tray and grab the vinegar and eye droppers.

and use eye droppers to release baking soda. Watch the trees melt and the glitter bubble and gather!

I want to add dinosaurs or dragons and fairies to this beautiful art our experiment has created! This project is definitely one we will do again! I think we will break it back out during our dinosaur land unit in January!
