Want a truly magical experiment? Glitter Melting Christmas Trees is a perfect fit! We’ve been exploring trees a lot this month through our Ice Castle unit and this seemed like a fun fit!
You will need:
🎄Cone shaped paper cups
🎄Baking soda
🎄 A little bit of water (to make the baking soda into a crumbly paste)
🎄 Gold glitter
🎄 White vinegar
🎄Eye droppers
Mix all ingredients except the vinegar and place in cone cups. Freeze for 30 minutes or longer.
Place Christmas trees on a tray and grab the vinegar and eye droppers.
and use eye droppers to release baking soda. Watch the trees melt and the glitter bubble and gather!
The way the glitter bubbles is majestic!
I want to add dinosaurs or dragons and fairies to this beautiful art our experiment has created! This project is definitely one we will do again! I think we will break it back out during our dinosaur land unit in January!
